For thousands and thousands of years the land from the Penedès region has been associated with vineyard cultivation and wine production. Getting to know the Penedès region means getting to know a landscape and its people, generation after generation of whom have preserved the vineyard as the main economic, social and cultural engine.
The tour starts early in the morning, clients will be collected at Hotel at 09.00. Day will consist on visiting 2 highly-renowned wineries (masias) in small towns of the Penedés area. These ‘Masias’, or traditional Catalan farmsteads, are surrounded by vineyards and unspoilt countryside at the foothills of the Garraf mountain range, which is an spectacular experience in its own right.
You will enjoy these two visits in the morning, which consist on private and guided tours followed by wine & Cava tastings, so our clients will be able to ask all questions in a charming and private environment.
At lunchtime we will head towards Sant Sadurni d´Anoia, capital of the Cava region, to a specialised gastronomic restaurant themed around the Cava culture. The “coupage” menu presents traditional Catalan cuisine from a new, modern perspective. After lunch our return to Barcelona is scheduled around 5:30pm.
