The tapas tour in Madrid, led by Maria who is an expert on Madrid tapas bars, took us to places we would never have found on our own and provided information we could never have obtained from any other source. A great introduction to Madrid!
The private olive farm visit and oil tasting was wonderful! A member of the family that owns the olive farm gave us an in-depth, engaging tour of the complex and treated us to several different oils and Sherries and an amazing dessert consisting of chocolate ice cream topped with blood orange-infused olive oil. A major highlight of our trip!
The Montserrat Mountain and monastery tour was an unexpected highlight. The monastery’s grounds, geographic setting, museum, and cathedral deserve a visit by anyone who comes to Barcelona. Our guide, Jordi was a gem! He was our best guide of the trip.
The Barcelona Cooking Class was amazing! Shopping at the Boqueria market took two hours; the cooking took another two and the eating another hour. Maria has a winning personality and exceptional culinary skills. We hope to be able to recreate some of the six (six!) dishes we made with her.
